Antonio Harding is a man of few words.

“He lets his game speak for itself,” Warren defensive coordinator Dustin Prescott said.

The Warren senior defensive end/linebacker racked up 69 tackles, 8 sacks, forced three fumbles and intercepted a pass last fall. Harding (6-1, 215), who has 4.5 speed, had a great season, but coaches challenged him to not take plays off this year and work harder in the offseason.

“I’m just trying to get in better shape and stay focused,” Harding said. “I was thinking if I pushed myself in the weight room and on the track harder, I could help the team more. ”

Harding is the No. 13-ranked player in the Fox 16/VYPE Top 16 Central Arkansas football players’ countdown.

Prescott confirmed Harding re-committed himself the past few months. Harding has also been working to score higher on the ACT, so he is eligible to play college football.

“The coaches have pushed me, and I’ve just tried to do what they’ve asked of me,” Harding said.

Arkansas Sate offered Harding after camp this summer. Harding was hoping Arkansas would offer at its camp but an offer hasn’t materialized, yet. Auburn and Ole Miss have also shown interest.

“I really like Arkansas,” Harding said. “I want to stay close to home.”

Harding is projected at linebacker in college, which is fine with him.

“I like to hit. I have the linebacker mentality,” Harding said. “That’s really the key for me.”
